First one was great except for the awful camera quality. Idk if the movie is an indie movie but its a 2002 movie the camera quality shouldnt be that awful. It felt like watching a home VHS.
Other than that. Great movie. Sense of dread, really convincing, and acting is pretty great. 28 weeks later was pretty good too but the dread isnt there as much as the first one Except for the first ten minutes of the movie, that was the best 10 minutes Ive seen in any zombie film ever The sense of urgency, abandonment, and guilt felt too real in that scene. --- ... First ones camera style was intentional. IIRC they wanted it to feel more home movieish but I can't recall. It was for sure intentional though.

The first is arguably one of the best zombie flicks. And yes i know the infected aren't actually zombies since they aren't dead.
