I remember in the trailer a scene where the daughter is pleading with her parents to leave them alone. It made it seem like she was innocent. but in the movie that scene is gone, and she is evil. I wonder if they did a rewrite of the script at the last second, and someone accidently kept an old part of the original script in the trailer.

I'm glad they got rid of that scene. It would have ruined the ending to see her have a change of heart.

Movie scenes change from trailers all the time, so it wouldn't surprise me. Anybody remember the first trailers for the movie "Rise of the Guardians" from dreamworks? It never had Jack Frost in it because they originally didn't intend on having him in the movie, it wasn't until the test audience said they couldn't relate to any of the characters did they add in Jack Frost.

It wasnt super egregious, but the trailer/movie difference that always stuck out to me was with Frozen. There was a trailer where Anna yelled THATS NO SNOWSTORM, THATS MY SISTER and it was awful

Very glad that didnt make the cut

Remember that time they made it look like the cannibals were gonna join the team? Instead they got butchered.

Not gonna mention the show, but y'all know what I'm talking about.

they actually did rewrite the script at the last second. The ending was changed. The boyfriend was originally supposed to be arrested by brainwashed cops (instead of being saved by his homie) and she and her family would have "won." But the director thought it was way too dark and wanted the boyfriend to have a somewhat happy ending.

You can see the scene on the Blu Ray.

While that seemed more realistic, I think I'm glad they changed it. The ending was a "fuck yeah" whereas in the other, he's rotting in prison.

At least it wasn't the cliched "gets killed at the last moment" type.

I was expectign that. when they were sitting in the car at the end talking about "this has been handled". I thought maybe suddenly the friend would get shot in the head

I also thought the main guy was gonna get shot while standing over his girlfriend

Word. Same thing I thought when I first saw it. It showed everything and knowing movies nowadays, I even speculated the twist would be the girl is in on it.

They only surprise was what they were actually kidnapping these dudes for. Otherwise it seemed like a racist hunt down, whereas it was more about extending life.

Off topic, but why do people always she to "relate" to folks in order to enjoy a movie/ book/game/etc. I can't relate to being white or a woman. Doesn't mean I don't enjoy watching Tina bounce around in Dead or Alive.
I can't relate to being a secret agent. Doesn't mean I can't enjoy James Bond.

Now THAT passed me off. Vader got a freaking minute in the whole movie.

I don't see how this makes any sense to begin with.

Animiation takes a long time and is expensive, how can you have a test audience far enough long and still insert a new main character? It's not live action
