If it's the latter he's volunteering information that at leas subtextually means he's open (if not interested) in hooking up sometime. If you looked it up, don't do anything to suggest you know his age because if he's paying attention he'll quickly realize how you learned that information and probably find it weird that you're stalking him on social media rather than asking him directly.

As for the smash (y/n?) question, I'm seldom friends with people I fuck unless I've been friends with them for years. My personal experience is that you can't decouple the associations or if you can it takes a while. So if you like him as a person, consider where else your relationship might go afterwards. You'll probably have to be the responsible one, since most of us won't really hesitate to say 'yes' to some dick especially if the attraction is there and you don't really know one another yet (meaning there's little baggage, and little apparent downside, or so it seems). So if you want to be friends more than you want to fuck him, steer things non-sexual activities where you can hang out to spend time developing that friendship.
