I cringe when I see people use the term "sushi grade" on facebook and stuff, first time I tried sashimi I looked up online how to eat fish raw and it's literally just as simple as only buying stuff that was recently thawed. Still haven't gotten sick from eating raw grocery store salmon

Still haven't gotten sick from eating raw grocery store salmon Fish has to be frozen for a certain amount of time to be considered sushi grade. Still haven't gotten sick from eating raw grocery store salmon *serious mode* actually sushi-grade cuts are selected from only the "Best" fish by certain experts, but you're right about the thawed stuff i guess <_< but as a general rule I only ever freeze (barely) raw tuna for sashimi consumption, and salmon I always buy stuff packaged as sushi-purposed salmon and eat fresh *unserious mode* yeah man just get that freshly microwave thawed tilapia going raw on that rice Edit: Oh right Anarchy_Jubilex is right.
