What should my question be?
I'm leaning towards something about the proxy war aspect, but I don't know where to begin.

I don't know much about creating a good thesis question (I haven't really done it since HS, I didn't do much essay writing in college), but it could be something about questioning whether it is a proxy war between Shia (Iran) and Sunni (Saudi Arabia) or if it is some kind of legitimate internal civil war uprising kind of thing.

I think this is what I'll end up with. It's something that isn't 100% clear so I can put my opinion without feeling stupid.

theyve been killing eachother forever and are very tribal, thats why theres no unity there. you have the south still hating the north from the past big civil war while its still going on and saleh was hated by the south and was considered to be a political flip flopper and backstabber. then you have iran going in there and putting bases there to be close to saudi arabia so they can be next door if they want to bomb it, this is all while saudi arabia hates yemen and thinks they should be erased and are considered a dirty country.
