I'd like it if neither got in but I'd give it to conference champion OSU over Alabama who didn't even make it to their conference championship

Nah, that's a game you want to save for the National Championship.

It'll be Clemson at 1, Oklahoma at 2, and Georgia at 3. 4th is up for grabs still obviously but both options are garbage.

Also why are you acting like a third Bama Clemson game would be bad when the previous two were exciting as fuck

Experts on tv say Ohio State while the sportsball fans of CE say Alabama. This will be interesting.

I've seen most of them say OSU because the committee says conference championships are a deciding factor when ranking similar teams. They already said they view the two teams as similar before this weekend.

Committee has thrown that out the door whenever it's convenient. See: last year.

And people keep pointing out "Oh there's not as big of a quality win the schedule was softer than OSU's."

Ok. They still dominated. They had an average point differential of +27.5, and that's averaging in the Auburn loss. it's one thing to have a bum schedule and barely win and get in (2014 FSU). It's another thing to fucking decimate every team you play. I think that says more than any one singular win will.

Has a Big 12 team even made it before? Seemed like Baylor, TCU, Oklahoma have always been snubbed.

Looks like B1G gets that treatment this year

Alabama obviously looks better and was more consistent, but they were useless against the best team they played this year. I think it is just going to be a combination of a lot of small things that make the difference. As for last year, I think I remember they said that they didn't take the conference championship into account because the teams weren't similar enough to warrant going to that tiebreaker, which is what you and other Alabama fans would be hoping for this year. Depending on how they look at injuries throughout the season, that could also work in Alabama's favor.

I won't even be mad if Ohio State doesn't make it this year. They haven't looked as good as they have the past few years and I didn't even think they would be in the conversation after Iowa.

Disclaimer: this isn't directed at anyone ITT and is more based on shit I've seen from various analysts.

Clemson got a pass for losing to SYRACUSE because their quarterback was out. It's interesting how Alabama loses to a top 10 team on the road with half of the linebacking corp either limping in or out and that's somehow not the same thing.

I still feel there's enough there to see a clear difference between OSU and Alabama and the conference championship will be moot.

Definitely. I added the injury thing into my post as you posted. I'm sure in the end we just get a bs answer from Kirby Hocutt regardless.

None of the usual teams has looked good this year.

Nobody stays on top forever.

Still it'd be fun to see Ohio State, Alabama and Clemson slug it out.

One day we wont see any of these teams anymore.
