Yeah, which is why I said you're an alt and not being him completely.

Well, liking it for my shelves is just one part of the argument. And, broadly speaking, I'm kicking myself for not getting the ps3 port of MvC2 through gamestop for that case since I didn't realize that it was only ever going to be digital only at the time.

More generally, physical ownership means never having to worry about an account being hacked/banned or the thing discontinuing service. It means having something of value I can later sell -- if I either can't see myself using it again or need the money for whatever reason. Sure, something can happen to my physical copies, but I feel more secure with them than I do with digital content because someday a digital service provider will stop providing whereas there are no guarantees as to something bad happening to the physical.

Granted, clutter is a huge issue and I have shelves stacked with books anyway.

My excuse is "cant be taken away/dont need internet connection/can resell if I get bored with it/dont need to backup or redownload if my hardware gets borked"

My feelings exactly. I still buy digital but only if it's a really good sale.

No, I don't. You for some reason just have something against me and seem to struggle with handling people having a different opinion than you.

Uh huh, cause I'm the one who makes topics like this saying people with a different opinion are dumb...

And this post of yours is further proof.

Knee-jerk dismissing everyone who disagrees with you as being objectively wrong is part of what it means to be human.

Nevermind.
