I felt like it ultimately equated these two perspectives to one another. As though they were equally responsible for each others's frustration and pain, and our current paralysis, and that kind of pissed me off, because they are definitely not.
I still think it kind of does. I haven't decided yet if I think that's better than nothing. From the rhythm and lyrics through, the song is very well constructed and the video is great. To me it was all about deep rooted beliefs that divide us, but in the end we really are all humans who can coexist and even love each other even if our preconceived ideas are off basis. I think Joyner is just a tier above Hopsin's awful moralizing in that, while he isn't also cartoonishly embarrassing, he's often very rote or rudimentary and his wordplay isn't as clever as the concepts he wants to pull off
