Celes's resume speaks for itself: 15 top 25 finishes in 19 contests, with 8 of those being top tens, and a finals victory over Kuja in CIII. Even in the four contests she didn't make the top 25, she still did fairly well aside from her one lower half finish in CVIII, but she's never finished worse than 43rd. With this performance, Celes increases from 78.67% to 78.95%, temporarily passing Zidane for 5th place and holding on to her status as the top ranked FFVI character.

In the New Era, she's been nearly as good. There, she grows from 75.68% to 77.07%, passing Rydia and Edea to enter the top 10, although she's still behind Locke for the top ranked FFVI character. In the Old Era, Celes was at 79.82%, between Cecil and Vivi for 4th place, now making her one of three characters to be in the top ten in all three sets of STATS, along with Cecil and Zidane, although she was the second ranked FFVI character behind Terra there.

If you don't want to trade with somebody still and it's not during a round yeah. There's nothing stopping anybody from starting or stopping a trade partnership

That just seems pretty scummy. If a trade agreement was made (and it was clear it was permanent of course, no one lied or deceived...) I don't like that people can just break contract and no one seems to care.

I never even intended Gau to last as long as he did. I thought "well he'll die as soon as my own saves aren't enough and then I'll move on to Locke or Sabin or something." But then everyone else just kept dying around him and before I knew it he was my permanent main. *shrug*

If one of the 2 characters you agreed on is gone then it's not breaking a contract anymore. I didn't gather that from what was being spoken on.
