How has it been?

I plan on setting one up soon. I just gotta remember to set my TV to Game Mode to reduce the latency. Hopefully the controller is all that is needed after using the keyboard/mouse to set it up.

I've played the Brave New World mod for Final Fantasy 6(3) and definitely kept me from spamming my dominant strategies :)

The 2+2 mod for Yoshi's Island is fantastic too, feels Nintendo quality level design.

If I ever find a cheap flat screen monitor I'm gonna tinker around with data visualization. Main project would be to map previous trips to different cities using openstreetmap and for future trips do it automatically using metadata from images taken during the trip

When I say cheap monitor I mean like $50 or less tho

I got one about 2 weeks ago. I installed retropie and got that working but haven't had time to do more. I plan on adding a stand and screen and making it a coffee table console. I used my PS3 controller with it.

I'm going to buy a couple more next week to give my brother/his son one with retropie installed in one of those nes cases and build my gf one of those magic mirror, both as Christmas presents.

I've got one. I purchased one of the CanaKits with a breakout board, case and components, but right now I'm using it as a RetroPie machine. It was a bit tricky to get my PS4 controller set up just right, but it plays SNES/Genesis/PSX games flawlessly. Make sure you get a proper power supply that provides at least 2 amps, otherwise you'll underpower the board when playing games.

I have one. It's pretty awesome.

I have one but I'm not very tech savvy. I set it up with retropie, and the games work great but I don't know much about it other than that. I just use regular usb snes controllers.
