Eh, my biggest problem with the game is the raining while inside/under a roof.

Give 'em a break though, this is the first open world game these dudes have made and it's already one of the best. Hopefully they fix those minor issues for the second game.

What? This is kinda dumb.

You can't go in, because story-wise you're forbidden. Sure, they could have taken the time to have you completely derail the game by going somewhere forbidden by law, and ostracizing the entire community you are about to play with, but that'd be a huge waste of material for literally 20 minutes of play time.

No, there's not really any defending this. A game touted as "open world" shouldn't have invisible walls. If they want you to not reach a certain place, there are plenty of better ways to do it.

Because you haven't finished the tutorial? Are you angry that you can't get off the boat in Morrowind before you talk to the guard who's escorting you, too? How un-open-world.

To be fair, there are ways to go anywhere from the very beginning in BotW. And even without those ways, you can atleast try. You just die if you don't find a better way to do it.

If it's a place they don't want you to go in the tutorial, then there should be a different way to keep you from going there/dissuade you than just slapping up an invisible wall and some text. That's just lazy.
