My content isn't my own and it's copyrighted, so I can't monetize my videos. Not sure if partnering with Youtube and not monetizing videos would work, or monetizing a few videos. I've got 81,000 subscribers currently and it's growing at a pretty fast rate even though I haven't uploaded public videos in a year and a half. Whenever I hit the 100,000 sub milestone (Which SocialBlade says I'll hit by my birthday next year), would I still get a play button? Or do I have to be partnered?

I doubt there is an automatic robot that will send you the trophy once you hit 100,000. The amount of people who hit 100,000 shouldn't be too large and easily reviewable by actual humans. I'd be more concerned about them denying you a trophy if you are uploading content that you do not have the rights to. Like what are you doing? Uploading movie clips or full songs?
