No, I'm not a teen (although, emotionally speaking, I'm not exactly up there <_<)

No, I haven't asked her out. No, not because I don't have the balls, but because she's already taken by a big burly dude back home

Yes, I'm trying to 'get over it', in my case by trying to avoid her. It's a big enough campus, has to work, right? Except the universe seems to like taking the piss out of me in this regard.

There's still the nuclear option: tell her how I feel and watch how she suddenly wants as little to do with me as possible unfortunately, that's something I'd genuinely rather only do as a last resort...

If she's in a relationship with someone else, I'd suggest beginning the process of getting over it, and start looking elsewhere. If she gets freed up later, or if she asks why you have been more distant as a friend, you can be honest with her that you've liked her. Like what Sex-Machine said, if it is a highschool carry-over your chances are pretty high that they are going to fail.

Maybe. From what I've seen so far here, relationships tend to last.

The way I see it you have 2 options. Tell her you like her and see what happens, or stop being friends with her and move on. Both options are probably going to be the same anyway, might as well get it over with.

Crush or limerence? Crush will go quick. Limerence.... yeah have with that for the next few years (helps to do the nuclear option turned up to 11 but it's pretty socially devastating).

I have no idea what limerence means

Basically an advanced, more rooted form of a crush, where your behavior and mood is more dependent on the perceived reciprocation (or lack of) from the person you are attracted to. Obsessive behavior due to your attraction to someone else is limerence.

I don't think it's that bad

She obviously likes me, just not in that way

And I'm OK with that, tbh.

Just not OK with my feelings for her.

With the second, my fragile self-respect stays intact <_< on the other hand, I feel bad just ignoring her when she texts me asking for help or whatever <_<

If you can't shut it off and be friends without your feelings taking over, you need to tell her. Just ignoring her is wrong. Tell her that because you have feelings for her, and know it won't be able to go anywhere, that interactions with her are hard for you.

LOL, that's it? I've liked a woman for almost 3 years and I'm still not fully over her.
