My front bumper was taken out, and I wanted an after market bumper instead

Typically, your auto insurance will pay for the cost of a stock replacement part. You send the estimates from the shops, and they either write you or the shop a check. You can then typically tell the shop you want to replace it with a different part and pay the difference. YMMV depending upon the laws in your state. I have only had to go to a body shop one time. It was a high end shop. They asked for a check in the amount of my deductible and handled everything else for me.

I'm pretty sure my local body shop will let me do an after market replacement given I pay the difference of my auto insurance coverage. --- Trololol ... Copied to Clipboard!
