JonTron said some outright racist and bigoted shit that came off as extremely hypocritical considering his background. Also consider his fondness for just shouting racial slurs during his Game Grumps days (such as the Sonic 06 episode where he just repeatedly said the n-word several times).
Anyone trying to say otherwise is delusional. FWIW, no one deserves to be doxxed and harassed. Having people call you out on your shit is not harassment. Jonno just got whiny that people wouldn't let him spout racist garbage. As far as AVGN and Angry Joe: I honestly thought the rationalization for not reviewing the new Ghostbusters was dumb, but whatever. The AVGN "controversy" flew over rather quickly, he just continued to make videos and ignore the media about it. For Jontron, I have to say he did deserve some of the backlash for what he said, but not to the extent of people doxing him and harassing him with death threats.
