Like, say you have 3 or 4 different groups, all with a different professor, and every group has the same exam.

So our professor isn't the one who makes the exam and doesn't really know specifically what's going to be on the exam.

I hate this so much. So fucking much. Because then the professor basically refuses to answer any questions because he's too terrified that by answering a question he might accidentally give the answer to something that's going to be on the exam.

So if you don't understand something in class, you're SOL because the prof won't answer any question and he'll just say "read the book" because he's too scared to answer questions

It's just so, so much better when your professor is the one who makes the exam. Since he knows exactly what's going to be on the exam, he's much more helpful because he knows what he can say and not say. Seriously, I've never had a pleasant class when it was one where the prof was not the one who made the exam, because he just makes it clear that he's there to give the class and he's going to offer zero help aside from what he says in the lectures

Thankfully I never had to deal with this.
