I had most of the week off with my wife and son. It was great, and we didn't even really do anything. Just chilled for the most part.

I'm at work now too. Just talked to a lady that was either on drugs or hyped up on that morning caffeine to the nth degree. I got like three sentences in in 10 min.

For a long time I dreaded going back to work because I had this vicious boss who would scream off the top of his lungs at everyone in the office. We had like 4 secretaries in 6 months because they all quit one after the other since they couldn't take the abuse, he was just so vicious and insulting. Like, he'd literally say stuff like "you must have some kind of mental ***********" if you made a typo in an email or something. It was awful.

The office happened to have a pager that made exactly the same sound as in the grocery. You know in the grocery when you hear "beep. A bakery clerk to register 4 please" or something like that. Well the office had a big pager that made the exact same sound. You'd hear the beep, then the boss's voice that said your name and something like "come to my office. right now."

Well, for a long time after leaving the office whenever I would hear the beep at the grocery my heart would literally jump out of my chest since I was so traumatized by that sound... since every time I heard it it meant I would get screamed at so loud I'd literally have the boss's saliva on my face

It's one of the reasons why I quit practicing law. Working in a law firm can be a traumatizing experience

There are plenty of laidback lawfirms, and public work is super chill.

I'm going in later today. Not really bothered by it. I got my own Hulu account and I want to upgrade to commercial free.

Apparently my boss wants to talk to me about people thinking Im downloading dubious shit on company computers on Monday, though. Seeing as Im a computer lab manager, that would be part of my job...

How long are your trips usually?

12 hours on a good day without traffic. With traffic? Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh. Longest trip I've done was 18 hours on a snow day. Breakdowns usually push me to 15 hours.
