These are two different things No they aren't. When people cite things like there have been as many mass shootings as days so far this year gang violence is included. Remove that and the number plummets. Still way too high mind you, but not nearly to the extent it is sensationalized to be. Every gang related shooting doesn't involve more than one victim.
