Let me guess, you were a kid in the 90s... that's how this plays out 99% of the time. I agree with your statement for this reason.

So much this

Actually there was a ton of White Guilt in the 90's.
Mostly steaming from Rodney King and the subsequent LA Riots.
If anything, it was a moment when white people took a step back and looked at the gulf that existed in race relations. TBH, all things considered, a slight leveling of the playing field between races was accomplished during the 90's.

Weekday afternoon cartoons

I had a few days off this week and the weekday afternoon is all talk shows and court shows. Lame. How is that supposed to be entertaining?

MadTV. The show started losing it's edge around 2000-2002, then really got worse around the time they changed the classic theme song and also got Bobby Lee.

Traditional JRPGs when it comes to video games, probably will never see anything like Lunar again. Another issue is the generational differences between the Japanese of the 80s/90s and today, they take JRPGs on a vastly different level now and rather support the fatass Otaku than care about quality in their games and anime. Not to say that 90s JRPGs didn't have the otaku factor, but least it was not so downright tasteless (Thank god something like Cosmic Star Heroine was made, I like it but I can clearly tell the conversations, and stuff was definitely made for younger millennials).

I kind of miss those moon shoes, those were pretty fun but I always fell. >_>

Watching Pokemon before school (though I would miss it sometimes since I wake up too late for it).

DRAGON BALL Z back when the hype was at all time high.

Anime that didn't rely on the otaku factor 90% of the time (Tenchi is a good example, but you could also say this anime is blamed for the start for Harem Anime genre unintentionally).

WCW
arcades
lots of goofing off with friends at school and on weekends, etc
internet existed and was more and more accessible as the 90's went on, but it was kind of nice when a lot of people weren't on it at all and those that were weren't parked in front of it 24-7, plus no smart phones and no one my age had a cell phone at all.

- Video games were more simple and fun. Less complex and complicated.

- Arcades! I miss the arcades dearly. I wish they would come back. It was the best place for game addicts to socially interact. I'll never forget how crowded MvC2 and CvS2 was every time I would visit. And I would watch some of the best players competing on those games.
Now arcades are almost extinct. And online games have taken over. IMO, beating someone online doesn't feel as satisfying as beating someone that's right next to you.

- Pro wrestling was at it's best. WWF, WCW, and ECW were all amazing at its time.

- Cartoons were at their best. Especially on Saturday mornings. And DBZ was the shit back then.
Nowadays nobody watched cartoons at all. CN plays Teen Titans Go to death, and Nick hardly has any cartoons other than Spongebob, and is riddles with lame kids shows that no one cares about.

- Smartphones didn't exist. So people were more aware of whats going on around them and aren't glued to their phones like they are now.

- Society had more balls and backbone than we do now.
