Ford's business model is based around making you order parts for repairs.

It's the DLC/microtransactions of the automotive world. Why just sell the product when you can sell it and then keep having a steady cash flow?

My girlfriends father is a mechanic and he says he hardly ever see's Ford's but he see's Dodge and Chevy trucks come in all the time.

I think people just need to learn how to not beat the shit out of their trucks.

I mean I've heard Ford trucks aren't really like the rest of their vehicles because they have a positive image to uphold, but personally I wouldn't risk it.

I had an '02 Mustang GT and fucking everything started falling apart at once after a certain point, which is common for business models involving planned obsolescence. And it just wasn't that, but the fact that one of the repairs was completely and unforgivably roundabout for no reason, adding to cost. The fuel pump broke and they had to take out the whole damn tank just to access it instead of being like everyone else.
