It looks like its about to be a very bad time to be a gamer. Also if you love the internet and all the freedom you have to listen and watch anything, its about to get bad.

What person would actually want this?

What person wants their internet to be like the cable companies? That sounds like a worst case scenario.

Yes, in Portugal who has already done what we are doing now. Losing net neutrality.

Paying more is no big deal(for me anyway). blocking and throttling sites without consent bothers me. and those plans only cover a portion of the internet. what happens when isp refuse certain packages?

And If I understand correctly, p2p cryptocurrency works best with an open freeway. How would this affect bitcoin?

It will affect it incredibly negatively, almost to the point of uselessness.

Do most businesses plan to benefit from this? I cant imagine limiting your consumer base is a good thing. Say, even if they wound up being paid by providers, it seems like it would still correlate with a lower bottom line.

And what government official sees this as a good thing? The majority of the population can barely afford to live as is, so now you want to take their access to the most important technological advancement in modern history?

Its pretty crazy this is just happening and no one is opposing it. This is all known facts, and main stream media doesn't talk about it. Why? Because they are owned by the same companies that will be in control of the internet.

https://www.wired.com/story/heres-how-the-end-of-net-neutrality-will-change-the-internet/

INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDERS like Comcast and Verizon may soon be free to block content, slow video-streaming services from rivals, and offer fast lanes to preferred partners.

Consumers will likely see more arrangements granting or blocking access to specific content, if the Federal Communications Commission next month repeals Obama-era net neutrality rules

internet services would begin to resemble cable-TV packages, where subscriptions could be limited to a few dozen sites and services. Or, for big spenders, a few hundred.

Actually saw a good idea on Reddit for once. If we want this issue to end tomorrow then all that needs to be done is for Twitter to block Trump's twitter for awhile and send him a pop-up saying this is your life without net neutrality. :P
