Well, the US really needs to stop being so fucking third world with it's internet in rural areas, though. I try to tell my parents netflix is like $10 but the cable company tells them their bill will be MORE expensive if they get rid of cable and/or the landline, somehow. Cancelling the phone would likely cause the bill to go up because you're no longer within the promotion you had originally. Like, if they have 4 or 5 shows they watch, and a new episode drops once a week, they'd be spending a whole lot less... I think the biggest holdouts are the older generation, and they are a mixed bag between liking access to a 24 hour news cycle, and otherwise just enjoy watching whatever comes on. I dont miss cable at all.
