For example we are around the holidays. If someone gets suspended now they might not have it turned to a warning or purgatory until Monday. So lets say it gets turned into a 7 day purgatory. They were suspended 5 days the punishment being added on that seems unfair since they already served 5 days. That turns the punishment into 12 days.

Suspensions do not turn into Warnings. Suspensions can only become Purgatories or Bans. Warnings are given by mods directly, whereas a Suspension needs Administrator review to determine if it is a ban-worthy offense or not. If not it becomes a Purgatory.

Yea. That is almost as bad as when you get warned you appeal and it gets overturned 3 days later. Your topic already purged and you basically served the time. All you get is the karma back but the mod got everything else.

I had one that got turned into a warning. It was during the Cory in the House Fiasco. I posted a Cory in the House pic. This one



Got suspended. I guess an admin realized it was mod abuse or something and I got only a warning. Anyway that doesn't answer the question. Let's say you are right. If it takes an administrator a week to give the purgatory should it be backdated?
