That Wyvern boss was pretty cool. Stretchy-head little dudes are annoying, though.

The sky is so blue here! Everything is so awake and bright it's seriously the most upbeat of all Lothric locations.

When I was running through there I couldn't stop looking around and thinking "Man, they did a spectacular job at making this place look like if you took a deep breath up here it'd be dry and cold and have that super sharp winter air smell to it."

If an area in a game makes me think about what it would smell like, think that means the environment artists won that one.

I wouldn't call it happy but it's unique for being that one little break in the darkness over Lothric. I think the point is to show how either the dragons are above petty conflicts like that, or that it's supposed to be reserved for last and can be used as sort of a "good ending" endgame location (because if you notice, the eclipse is gone).

I found the actual final boss to be a lot harder. Maybe that's because I insisted on soloing it.

I did him solo my first time, he's significantly harder to solo on ng+ and beyond. It's better to solo him your first time and play with others on ng+

The environments in this game are stellar. The attention to detail is insane.

The environments in this game are stellar. The attention to detail is insane.

That's true of every from soft soulsborne game. The worlds are the maon character of the games. world building has to be on point since there's no overt storyline. Exploration is the name of the game.
