yes, the game itself is basically best in class in its genre (third person action rpg, think kingdom hearts but way better)
yes the story will have less of an impact. thats a damn shame since its so well executed on top of being a great story to begin with. but the game is worth playing no matter what

it sucks that that happened, but some impact should still be there from actually experiencing it in game (unless you got spoiled by watching a video of the game for some reason), I know I've played games before that I got spoiled but still had fun going through it, and have replayed some rpgs having the same amount of fun the 10th time as I did the 1st so it's still worth playing

I love the game to pieces, but it loses a lot of oomph without being able to experience it fresh for the first time.

There's a lot of things where, once you learn them, it changes the context of many scenes in the game.

I'd say wait for a sale. No point in rushing anymore if there's nothing left to spoil.

i'd say the plot is very easy to understand assuming you actually pay attention. i found the mgs series easy to understand as well. i dont get it when people say these games are hard to understand
