Finally getting around to Irans almost done. Man is it rough. What happened to the series? Even 4 wasnt that great

was the series ever good? i know part 3 was suppose to be the best. but i took to long to play it and it feels outdated.
part 2 i got stuck at one part so i quit, because i didn't want to grind. the remakes feel really bland Part 4 to me feels ok. i love that you get to go to different worlds and it almost feel like a phantasy star. but if i want to play a phantasy i should just play a phantasy star --- I'm always 50% right all the time ... I thought 2 and 3 were amazing. One was good. 4 was ehhh. I beat 5. 15 hour game. But terrible
