By my new job.

I've been working at this new job for just under 2 weeks now. There's this older gentlemen who's probably in his mid 40's and looks like he lived a rough life. He's retired due to a leg injury and uses a cane to walk around.

Anyway i talked to him a few times during my lunch break since he goes to lunch at the same store as me.

Today he talked about how even though he lived through hard times he's happy and smiling because at least he has people that love him. He calls me a white guy brother in a very friendly and genuine way and even sometimes opens the door for me. He said that even when people are hostile towards him he treats them with kindness and love because he knows what's it was like being in a dark place with nobody by his side that cared about him in the past, and that kindness can heal even the most angry heart.

Man...... i almost cried. He's such a good guy. Puts me to shame by comparison. It's funny but he's helping me see the world in a less angry way and is allowing me to let go of some of my hate slowly.

I know you guys don't care but i though i would share this any way. I wish more people like him existed.
