I have a work laptop and don't put games on it.

Because have that an iPad, PS3\4 and a NS I don't really have space for a PC.

But I could likely justify a steam machine

On Windows 10, Xbox is just built into it. You can get Cuphead on there. I can't imagine it needing gaming specs to run.

You should just get a PC instead. Much better investment.

If you're gonna run your Steam machine into a TV anyway just get an actual desktop and use that same TV as a monitor with a wireless mouse/keyboard combo. Literally win/win. It's what I do and it works fine even playing games like multiplayer StarCraft and Borderlands

The Steam Machine is going to be as large as any other PC. It is a PC.

If you just want a PC to hook up to a TV, just buy a laptop if you're concerned about space issues. It'll be more expensive but you can also take it with you.
