Well, he is a popular comic creator with a massively influential series. And he did just start this new one. He might be able to use his connections to get out of the harsher punishments, but we obviously won't see how it plays out until all's said and done.

It's not an error. Max is one year. As the google translation points out, it's a relatively new law (or at least this version of it is). The possession of child pornography, while still serious, obviously isn't treated as harshly as actually engaging in sexual relations with a child or producing child pornography.
