But then I lost to a team three divisions higher, Donacaster Rovers from the english championship. I am from the conference premier.

But I edited the game as I always do, and am doing an experiment at the same time. I have a team of 20 players, all started at age 17 with 1 current ability, but -10(which equates to 180-200 potential ability when they get older). I then edited their hidden personality attributes to all be 20. Professionalism, consistency, temperament, adaptability, loyalty to all be 20, to see if I could take a team of players, with terrible starting attributes grow to be world class superstars from a team in the lowest division, the 6th level in england. I also gave me one amazing assistant coach, regular coach, gk coach and fitness coach to make it a little easier, but the training facilities havent been touched. theyre poor. the finances havent been touch, and i wont sign other players. But I will inject cash to keep the players from leaving via decent contracts, but not enough to actually do anything else for me, so all other money to build the training and stuff would have to be earned. I want to keep the same team, if at all possible for 20 years to see how they get along, if they reach their heights, obviously boosted by their hidden attribute bonuses. you likely couldnt get this close to reaching it otherwise i dont think. Most players who become world class had likely a current ability at this age of 100+ out of 200. not one.

So the story goes in the first season, they progressed nicely. I finished in 9th place in the conference premier north. I ebbed and flowed. lost my first seven games, because these players were - terrible - . many had strength of 1, a lot of composure and concentration woes. but the professionalism being 20, saw a lot of growth. finishing in 9th with the squad i had was an accomplishment.

Second season I won the league by three points in a close knit battle. I had figured I would own the league by more, but I had a midseason slump that had me down in 13th for a few weeks hurt me. I recovered because, duh, players on mental steroids + 20 consistency and an amazing tactic getting like 2% better every month rather than .5% or lower.

So I was promoted to the conference north. Now I am seeing extreme player growth. I have a CD who could make league one squads if not weaker championship sides. I have actually a very solid defending core. Players keep on growing, month by month their attributes slowly trickle up. I am concerned of two players who might not reach their world class level, but they still have 10-15 years of potential growth ahed(professionalism, consistency 20).

But this year, I am absolutely fucking everybody body in the ass. I have won 35 games in a row. My team has a few star players but without the mental bonuses I'd be top half of table at best if they were a bit random and not perfect. I havent lost in the league, I am 26-4-0, I am leading by 26 points.

In the FA cup I made it to the 3rd round beating a team in league 1 and league 2 to get there. I faced Doncaster Rovers of the championship(!!!) and lost 3-1, which they were the better team. But still, I never imagined this level of progression, but they're such, well, let me allow Tech n9ne to explain:

I mean, this is crazy. I am thinking if I dont enter a tailspin after this completely expected loss by everybody(but showed character and heart to get there), i could win the league without losing.
