Chad Vachter from Riverside, California was inspired to DESTROY his own personal gun after the mass shooting in California..and now he's encouraging others to follow his lead!!

Kevin Janson Neal went on a deadly 45 minute rampage through rural Rancho Tehama on Tuesday and went on a mass shooting spree with his AR-15 gun...

Chad posted a video on his FB explaining how he believes in the 2nd Amendment but he will no longer have weapons of mass destruction in his home!!

He posted "I challenge anyone anywhere to destroy their personally owned assault weapons. Barrel needs to be cut twice and the bolt carrier group/receiver must cut and be smashed as well. Every discommissioned assault rifle destroyed is one that cannot fall intot he wrong hands. I know many people are safe gun owners/handlers. But no one is 100% theft/loss proof. I personally am keeping a shotgun for home defense. In reasonable accord with constitutional rights/2nd amendment but my right to bear arms should not infringe on anyone's rights to peacefully assemble, worhsip, go to school and just plain go about their life without fear of random mass murders by a single individual. #notwiththisgun"

Chad has an autistic son who gets treatment at a Regional Centre, a location where the gunman went on his crazed shooting.

He said "So, when my son is old enough to realize that someone went in there and shot up that place and he sees that gun in my possession and asks me, why do you have it daddy? i don't have a good answer. i can't do it. i can't have something in my house that so easily could become part of another situation like that and i'm not gonna get desensitized to that, i refuse to"

He expressed sorrow for the victims and feels like he's done a small part in making things better..

Chad used a HAMMER to smash his gun to bits..he said gun violence is NEVER addressed in politics and now it's up to the people to change if government doesn't. He says politicians always say it's never the time to talk about the gun violence but then nothing gets done..

Are the "no" votes in this thread being serious or intentionally thick? If you want proof, just look at any other country that went through the same process of mass shootings then banning unnecessary high end/automatic weapons.
Nobody's saying you can't have guns, just keep it reasonable. You can still have your "alone time" with a copy of guns and ammo anytime you want.

Automatic weapons are already banned unless you jump through hoops for a special license that is hard af to get.

Removing guns from America is like removing hockey from Canada. Like it or not, it's a cultural pillar at this point... While there aren't mass killings because of the sport, there are some pretty brutal riots.
