I have a toyata yaris 2015 model

I have a 5.35 hour drive for thanksgiving, if I fill up before hand could i make it on a tank of gas?

This is dependant on many factors including highway miles, freeway miles, etc.

More than likely, you'll need 2 fill ups. one to get you there, one to get you back.

I'll be on the high way most of the drive.

listed stats are 11 gallon tank with 37 miles to the gallon highway, so about 400 miles max range

If mostly 65 mph highway at 5 hours, that's 325 miles.

So, you'd probably make it but road and vehicle conditions and driving habits may work against you.

Ill just assume itll be a mainly highway, you'll get 35~ mpg, at 60mph you'll last 6.4 hours

Oh well I was going to fill up right before the trip there and the trip back, I just want to know if I need to stop during the main part of the drive.

Based on what I'm hearing I think I'll fill up again 2-2.5 hours into the drive just to be safe.

I'm driving from Indianapolis to Pittsburgh if that helps anyone.

That helps a lot, just look at the gas gauge and fill it up. Shouldnt be a shortage of pumps anywhere

These are my grandparents I haven't seen in years and they are sorta getting up there in age, not sure how long they will last tbh.
