I think that woman might have a personal history with that specific guy in the elevator. If it's a criteria used to determine employability then it's a qualification. It 37 years I've had maybe 2 people ask my ancestry and it was in regards to my last name and the origin of it. Never had someone ask me where I'm from and it not end after I said "San Diego".
