50 years ago when you polled people their biggest fear was public speaking. Poll people get today and their biggest fear is living a life without meaning.

Think about the bigger questions in life, in the world with Twitter and Facebook and all of these distractions..... I know it's hard.

Why are we here? Is there a point?

When I asked god, she said humanity's purpose is largely just to experience and develop, and on a grander scale to specifically develop intelligence and advance in capability. This path will eventually lead to humanity becoming a kind of god as well, which is the desired end goal. The ultimate point is for her to have some company and it wouldn't be the same if someone just STARTED out fully decked out; the process is important.

What happens after we die?

She said don't worry too much about the specifics of that yet. Just know that as long as she remembers someone, they are eternal in existence, and her memory is absolute.

I found it easier to face reality once I embraced the nihilistic views I held, but didn't really acknowledge for a long time.

That is - I tried ignoring them in favor of more optimistic (to some) views but it didn't work. As it turns out it works for me.

When Tiger Woods was asked how he could lie to so many people about his affairs he said it was because he first lied to himself. If I could have asked a follow-up question I would have asked him if he lied to himself that he would never get caught? Or did he lie to himself about the fact, that in what doing what he did that's where in lay his happiness?

I'm proud of you, so many people would rather just live a lie and ignore how they really feel no matter how much it tears at their emotions.

There is no meaning or purpose. We are one species among billions, equally as meaningless, across the entire universe. We die, our brain dies, and no longer exist. There is no greater meaning, no path, no reason. We exist to exist and then die. We may have a tiny influence or impact on our species and it's development, but even that is just a grain of sand on a beach.

Only when the full situation is understood can it be determined what is and is not a lie.
