Y'see, it'd have to be something sanitary, so it's not a scoop or a bar of soap. Secondly, it'd have to be something indispensable - so that there's only 3 seashells and not a, like, dispenser filled with a lot of seashell replacements.

Actually it is confirmed that they are issued special flutes which they play specific tunes that lure out poo eating clams
