I mean, are your roommates/parents going to come in, see you guys all out of breath and naked and be like, "Oh, I thought you guys were having sex, but clearly there is a sheet on you so you aren't." The only thing I can think of is that the people involved might not be confident. Really though, I think the only position that works under the sheets is missionary, and that is boring as fuck so I don't know why anyone would do that.
