In a sense you can compare the first two movies to each Robocop themselves. Skye Reynolds 11/19/17 6:05:20 PM #11:	Robocop 2 is fine on its own. I saw it before I saw the first movie and it was everything you'd expect from a title like "Robocop." It had a mechanical hero taking down crooks, battling police corruption, and facing off against an even larger mechanical foe. It simply pales in comparison to Paul Verhoeven's morbid wit and fierce attention to detail. The second movie has some of the commercial parodies, but they're only present there because they were present in the first movie. It has none of the commentary of the first movie. That being said, it's still enjoyable to watch Robocop battle Robocop II. Cain is no Clarence Boddicker, but it's still an interesting series of altercations.
