With all those billions, they should have invested in developing the metagene in humans to unlock our superpowers or seeing if any humans carry the xgene. If not all humans at least some of the elite. Like developing water breaking bending powers where you can control the ocean and have it splashing down in the desert to create more forests and no more deserts.

They produce things that look like burgers, taste vaguely like burgers, and are barely made of meat. I'd say they're investing plenty in science.
