You're not in a single room at a time, you're in a big area. Like the 2D Zeldas I don't like side scrollers but I'd love to try out some 2D games like that --- But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them - bring them here and kill them in front of me ~Jesus Christ <cite>Colorahdo posted [p:890626690] in What kind ... So that would discount games like the 2D Final Fantasies. The Mother games (Mother, EarthBound and Mother 3) are like that. Secret of Mana, Seiken Densetsu 3, etc. are also (if you count games with real-time combat). And I think the Quintet trilogy too. And Star Ocean.
