I've never really played a Kirby game until recently, when I've been playing through a few. I always heard they were on the easy side, but I didn't realize they were going to be "casual gaming" before casual gaming was a term. It's not even like they're that easy, like I've gotten game overs in most of them, but there's very little that actually tests you. Most of the reason I die is because of the unusual mechanic of not refilling your health with each new stage. That just seems like a lazy way of adding difficulty instead of actually designing difficult levels. The gameplay most of the time is laughable, since copy abilities are overpowered and the ability to fly renders most of the platforming challenges pointless.

Kirby Super Star is the best one I've played yet, but even then, only like half of it is good.

In my opinion there hasn't been a Kirby game that actually surpassed Super Star. Even the good ones after Super Star are just riding on Super Star's tailcoats instead of being good in its own way.

Sometimes it's nice to stroll through an easier game from time to time while mindlessly slaughtering cute critters in your path as an overpowered pink alien. While the games are easy to play, they are usually difficult to 100% if you're into that. The (True) Arenas don't play around!

They are very 'feel good' games; colorful explosive, easy games with a moderate challenge if you want to go that way.

Basically Dynasty Warriors but a platformer

Everything on Kirby's Dream Collection, which is Dream Land 1-3, Adventure, Super Star and Crystal Shards.

I've owned it for a long time, but the recent Kirby eShop sale is what prompted me to finally play it. I got Return to Dream Land and Triple Deluxe in that sale, but haven't played them yet. I'll check them out, but unless one of them blows me away, I probably won't be buying any more Kirby games.

The animations and expressiveness are definitely a high point, but I was hoping they'd have a little more to the gameplay. It's a style over substance series to me. I don't care about the "moderate challenge" that usually consists of collecting all the objects or finding all the secrets in a level. Collecting in stage-based platformers isn't fun to me.

Really? I thought theres been plenty of great games, and I think most agree with me.

I mean I think Amazing Mirror is the best of all of them.

Yes kirby is easy but I still love quite a few of the games. Fun to play.

My favorites are,

Kirby super star snes/ds
Kirby nightmare in dreamland gba
Kirby Amazing mirror gba
Kirby retrun to dreamland wii
Kirby mass attack ds
Kirby triple deluxe 3ds
Kirby planet robobot 3ds

I disliked the racing one on gamecube and didn't care for dreamland 1 on game boy or dreamland 3 on snes.

Meh/good ones were Kirby adventure on nes and kirby 64. Also dreamcourse snes. Oh and tilt and tumble/block ball. Gb/gbc

Of course Kirby sucks! Kirby's great at sucking =D
