playing the first game on wii because I really wanna get into X and 2, plus all the buzz I've heard about the series over the years has had it on my radar. Opening sequence and the short trip to the first town wasn't an impressive start... is this game a hallway simulator like FF13? I'm getting those vibes.

I really wanna see what all the fuss is about though before skipping to the next game.

No. It's basically as far from that as possible.

oh thats good i probably just need to play more. i have a habit of dropping games if the beginning doesn't wow me, and I feel like that intro sequence was meant to be badass but combat is mad simple in this game (well, in that portion at least... is that what late game combat is like?)
