I have never done this before. Do they just put everyone into a hotel (Do they even PAY for the hotel)? How does transportation work? I can't imagine they give everyone rental cars.

In all likelihood, your company will pay for the flight (booked through a work hub like Concur) and the hotel, and then will just expect you to expense transportation costs to/from airport, airport parking, meals, and all that. You might be expected to pay for the hotel as well, but either way, you should be able to expense it and get it refunded with your next paycheck.
