So no one has a serious answer from the liberal perspective about transracialism? Is it real or not? Like if Im white but grew up in the hood all my life around black culture with adoptive black parents, can I identify as black?

Whats the difference between being a white guy in the hood and a black guy in the hood? Why would that require a race change? Would he live his life any differently?

I dunno. Im coming from the perspective that what we really mean when we call someone black or white is categorizing people based on the kinds of experiences they have, not their actual skin tone. So if the hood experience is generally associated with black people, then the white guy in example can identity as black

The only way to make transracialism a thing is if we understand race as not something related to skin tone, but related to a category of experiences and thereby expression(thats how you get phrases like hes black/white on the inside). Thats the only way a liberal can make sense of it

Im a liberal. How did I identify myself as racist? Because Im somehow assuming only black people can relate to hood culture? Because clearly thats exactly what I said

Take two guys, ones black and the other is white. Both men grew up in the same underprivileged block in the same ghetto in the same city. Take both of those men and place them on opposite sides of the street in the same high income neighborhood; which do the cops stop and frisk first?

You get what Im saying, a white guys stop and frisk would def be different in that scenario. But experiences dont have to overlap 100% to identify as something. There
are black people who never had cops harassing them, but that doesnt mean they dont relate to a bunch of stuff black people relate too

Oh I see. I'd still say no its not. One example I can think of is Francine from American Dad (a stretch I know). She was adopted by a chinese family, but she still considers herself to be a white woman. She grew up knowing of her parent's culture and such, but biologically she doesn't share anything. People's families have history of diseases and specific traits that run as well.

You can identify with a culture that might not be common with your ethnic background, but a white person is still a white person.

What makes you think transracial is delusional but transgender isnt? Do you believe gender is a concept thats a social construct? If so, then so is race is it not? If race isnt a social construct but gender is why?

Transgenderism is a documented phenomenon across history, like with the third sex in Native American societies. Trans-race is not even a thing.

Gender is a biological part of the brain. Race is not.

So gender isnt a social construct? Thats what I been hearing at least

Gender roles are socially constructed (although there may be biological factors involved in their formation) but gender itself isnt.

Here's your answers TC, now go shitpost about something else.

So what youre saying is gender is biological, but its not based on what your genitalia looks like but something in the brain. Have they located the part of the brain responsible for designating gender?
