Some people are uncomfortable eating meat that still resembles the animal (whole Roast Pig, Fish, Squid, Octopus, Oysters, etc). The guy was freaking out over being served a portion of a Roasted Pig.

Also filipino American. This sounds weird but i'm so tired of Lechon. We have it at like every party. My family owned a Filipino Market/Fast Food place until recently (may) and i used Lechon Kawali all the time.

I was actually disappointed when i went to a fancy restaurant with my girlfriend and ordered some pork belly appetizer that tasted exactly like Lechon.

Now braised Pork Belly is one of my all time favorite foods.

as a non filipino with filipino friends, my friend's dad actually made his own lechon but honestly I'm not the biggest fan. it's good but I would much rather have braised pork belly too lol
