Which is better!?

For me, mayo + apricot jam + bread = better then peanut butter. Though I've literally never heard of someone else that's even tried that, let alone likes it. Can it go up against the tried & true PB & J combo? You decide in Death Battle 2017 - Sandwich Edition!! Begin!!!

FYI jam is a completely different thing than PB&J(The J Standing for jelly)Jam is usually packed with fruit preseves where as Jelly isn't

i don't know many people who do use jam for PB Sandwiches just like i don't know anyone who likes crunchy peanut butter

the difference is that jam contains actual fruit bits in it but jelly doesn't

I buy Apricot jam & it says "jam" right on the tin, no "fruit chunks" in it though, all smooth. I knew a lady that used to make homemade Apricot Jam & that definitely had actual chunks of Apricot in it.

This is excellent. I've noticed a lot of confusion over jams, jellies, etc over the last few days in all the sandwich topics that have been popping up

I figured it was mostly due to english usage, cultural background and geographical location

Now why do the damn idiots put "jam" on a tin that clearly contains "jelly" then? LoL, stuff like this really makes me mad...

My whole life, "jam" has been fruit in a paste form you spread on bread & "jelly" has been a desert, also known as gelatin.

It could be a product that's been around for a while, and when it was first introduced they didn't know the difference when it was labeled (or possibly even to this day). Appearance and branding are powerful tools, if you have something that sells well there's always uncertainty about changing anything even if it's just a word in the description.
