Jared Fogle walked 2 miles to the subway, ordered a footlong on whole wheat with no cheese or shit like mayo, ate half there for lunch, walked 2 miles back, ate the other half for dinner. Drank predominantly water.

This is roughly 1000 calories for the majority of his day. Assuming he ate a 400 calorie breakfast, he's well under the amount of calories your body burns normally every day and then burned off an extra 4 miles of walking on top of it.

The moral of the story is don't be a pedo.

He likely got turkey with mustard on wheat bread with nothing else. Most of that menu is probably just as bad for you as a cheeseburger.
