Yes, it happens to me a lot and so far it's always been easy to get the discount applied. The guy on the line was all Ill check with our billing but I cant guarantee anything then kept me on hold several minutes. Probably a tactic. Yeah most places will generally price match for you in that window. Worst case scenario just order the discounted one and return the full priced one.
