That ball is 100lbs. That's like the average weight of a woman and he's tossing it around like a toy.

Or maybe half the average weight of an American woman, but you get what I mean

I'm not gonna disagree with the sentiment "strongmen are strong", but lifting up and down a hundred pounds isn't a difficult feat to achieve.

I wouldn't consider myself strong at all and I could do this ball thing he's doing a few times, most likely. I say most likely because I've only ever trained with a barbell and I don't know if the ball is tougher. But still, this is just a casual training routine for a guy that big. He's nowhere near maxed out in that vid.

If you went for the gym for 6 months you could probably do what he's doing 5x in a row.

Yea I mean they are on another level (post a video of them tugging planes with a harness on their back). However i can do 3-6 reps of what that guy did with a 100 lb medicine ball. I can pick my girlfriend off the ground pretty easily and she is 120 lbs.

It's more the way he's doing it that strikes me. Like it's totally nothing to him.

Here's him doing it with a barbell but this is 135lbs and he makes it look like a plastic golf club:

That's because 135 pounds is nothing for him when he probably maxes out at 250+

I max out at 250. Shaw can probably strict overhead press at least 350.

Yeah I was leaning towards saying 300 but I don't know the guy so I went conservative.

300 is actually too conservative for a top strongman.

The ball is tougher. Barbells are balanced and have places to grip. 100 solid pounds is way way waaay tougher. Like, probably tougher than picking up a person, which is still a more agreeable weight distribution.
