I had asked for a plain cheeseburger, this one had pickles, onions, and condiments on it.

It was a busy time of day and I may not have been clear. Plus, it wasn't much effort to correct it myself and scrape off the extra fixing.

Next time I'll just be more clear :)

I check my order right on the spot 100% of the time. I never leave without it. McDonalds and Burger King have gotten it wrong soooo many times.

This is why I just get the set meal options. Asking McDonalds workers to interrupt the hivemind and stop and think about what they're actually doing is introducing too many variables into a machine that only knows how to run one way.

I never leave without checking. I can usually tell by the weight of the item if they've fucked it up. If I get a non-plain burger/sandwich, there's a 100% chance I go back. Condiments are not only gross, but they're packed with salt and sugar.

Considering that even my McDonald's I work at gets typically about near 50 orders per hour, many with multiple items, and much more than that at peak hours, getting a couple wrong per day, or even per hour, still has a > 95% accuracy. Overall they don't do too bad, and if an order is made wrong and someone says something about it, they'll always remake it without any charge.

So honestly, there's no real point in complaining on here. Just tell them they got it wrong and wait a minute or two to get a new one of whatever you wanted, simple.
