The dance scenes for most popular styles discourage this sort of stuff. Besides, you really don't wanna date a dancer gal.

What the hell kind of ballroom dancing venues have music too loud to talk over? The whole damn point of those things is to socialize.

Anyway TC, there are two kinds of girls st those things. The super romantics, who are there to feel like princesses. Those you wow with your dance moves and subtly flirt with until they fall hard. Then you either date them or break their poor hearts.

Then there are the sexually liberated polyamorous theater kids. If you can't close the deal with one of these, you're hopeless, but don't expect them to treat anyone else with less hospitality...

The swing dance joints I go to are SUPER loud most of the time, but picking a spot far away from the speakers/band helps a bit with that.
